Bhangal Studio · Since 1996
A family. A shared craft. A story still unfolding.

01 The beginning
Hello, I'm Jovanpreet Bhangal.
My journey began alongside my father, who founded Bhangal Studio and laid the foundation of our family business. After completing my schooling, I joined him in this field, driven by my passion and love for photography.

Before it became a profession
Looking back at the photographs that came before the wedding stories.

02 Learning to see
Standing beside him, I learned what no course can teach: how to wait for a moment instead of chasing it, how to read a room, and how to make a nervous family feel at ease. That was more than fifteen years ago. Today this work is not just my profession. It is who I am.
Pages from my journey

03 The moments that stay
I've watched a father see his daughter in her wedding dress and forget, for a second, that anyone else was in the room. I've seen a grandmother hold a bride's face and say nothing at all. I've seen friends laughing so hard they cried. These moments don't last long. But in a photograph, they can last forever.
04 More than a wedding
That's why I don't think of the people I work with as clients. When you invite me to your wedding, I take the time to learn your story first: who is nervous, who is missing, who will cry before anyone else does. Then on the day, I treat your family like my own.
Every wedding is different, and I feel honoured to be part of each one. I will always try to give you more than you expect, because your happiness matters to me more than anything else.

2020 A shared journey
I wasn't doing it alone for long. My brother, Harjashanpreet, used to come to the studio after school to help me, and his computer skills turned out to be a gift. Soon he was helping with editing, and today he looks after the backend of Bhangal Studio.
It is a family business in every sense: my father began it, Harjashanpreet and I carry it forward, and every couple we meet becomes a part of that family.

05 My promise to you
Years from now, I want you to open your album, hear the laughter again, and feel proud that you chose us.
You don't just hire me to capture your memories. You welcome me into your story, and I give my heart to keeping it safe.

Our story · Since 1996
Every wedding begins long before the day itself. It starts with a glance across a crowded room, a mother’s quiet blessing, a father who looks away so no one sees his tears. These are the moments we’ve spent nearly three decades learning to notice.
Since 1996, Bhangal Studio has been part of Punjabi and Delhi weddings of every tradition: the stillness of the anand karaj, the sacred pheras around the fire, the joy of the baraat, the laughter of the mehndi and haldi, and the tears of the vidaai that no one is ever ready for. Each ceremony has its own rhythm, and we’ve learned to honour it.
We don’t pose emotion. We wait for it, and when it arrives, we are ready.
For us, you are not a booking. You’re a family we get to be part of for a few unforgettable days, and when the music fades and the guests go home, we want you to open your album and feel it all again.
